Happy, but will see how recovery goes. Well organised, fantastic race :)

eL Bee! Tough conditions!!! The forecast 16-21 knot winds were very much in evidence and made the undulating section on the far side very challenging. Mile splits tell the story of the wind more than anything else. Chuffed to bits with a PB - had to work pretty hard for it though!!!

Watford Wobble Was never on for a PB. The target was to enjoy the day and get some miles in. In that respect we managed both. Good day. Conditions not the best for PB breaking. Well done to everyone who gave up their time to organise the event.

Velociraptor Has to be done :) What a great event! An impeccably-organised race that could almost make me love Draycote Water, lots of Fetchies, a fantastic atmosphere, cake. Loved it! I knew I wasn't in PB form - threw myself at sub-1:45 pace from the start but only managed to sustain it for the first half, partly due to the increasingly lively weather but mostly due to my decreasingly lively legs. I don't regret trying, though :o)

Mr. K. I did a 1.45.51 or something as I managed to stop my Garmin for 0.62 miles around the 5.70 mile mark (what a plum) - a PB thou - Cant wait for actual race results...will update from them. Oh PB pushed back by another 4 seconds.

C-Cat hmmmm... got bit carried away with buzzin atmosphere :D ...took poorly body for little run... sunshine was lovely, wind worked against (especially on hilly bits) oh and horizontal rain for final mile was such a neat extra challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *might* have pinned on a number too ;)

climbingfishgirl Really did not enjoy this. Things have been going well in training but I seem to loose it all on race day. To top it off I had some kind of weird asthma-like attack after the race. Never happend before, hope it never happens again. GP is being less than helpful.
