Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Puzzles me that Walkman ran 14.3 miles on 29th April in 2.14.05 and 14.6 miles in 5.00.35 on 16th May, why the decline in speed? Or was it a walk logged as a run?

That was a tough match, Dave! I went to pick up a few vulnerable squares this morning, calculating that you would clean up the empty squares in my fjörd, but no! Seconds before my morning jog went through, yours went through over the same squares!

I'm too competitive for my own good and did my back no favours with too much cycling. This week, I need to take it down a notch; the bike is back in the shed (and it's snowing) and I'm easing off so I can comfortably run a 10k on Saturday (not in town). The following week, I'm "conquersizing" West Greenland so my next two weeks' opponents have an easy one.

Is it possible to see last week's match or does that just vanish when we get the new one?

Well, he is called Walkman, Mrs Jigs ;-).

If you are running Oop North, Jock, you could change your home square to where you will be. Just remember to change it back next week.

Don't panic StuH - only a few of those 130 miles were through 'the grid', and if I'm commuting by bike I'm not running!
