Don't think Helsinki wants to host the Olympics any time soon though, but the stadium ist the biggest one in Finland, and since the male football national team is becoming more popular now there is a need for a big stadium. Almost all infrastructure from the 1952 Olympics is still present and in use. (pools, sports halls, velodrome, rowing stadium etc.) That's another suggestion when you visit Helsinki: do a 1952 retro tour and visit all of them. There is a biking tour suggested somewhere, can't find it right now. And, very important: drink Lonkero, the iconic grape-gin-Longdrink that was invented for the Olympics and is still super popular in 🇫🇮.
