_andy Not as quick as I'd hoped, but just snuck a new PB. Had a lonely second half to the race - wasn't in a group and had gaps in front and behind. Felt warm, especially on the odd bits that weren't into the wind. Kinross Road Runners 37:17 39:00 39:40 67.76

Baza Got caught at the back of the pak at the start but wasn't worried due to the chip timing. Felt good over the 1st 5K (19:08), seen a clubmate in the distance so picked the pace up over the 2nd half (18:36). Even had the cheek to pass him with 30 metres to go, purely for the amusement factor you understand :-) Good to see a lot of Fetchies running yesterday too. Carnegie Harriers 36:28 36:32 37:45 70.17
bedlam_g Mixed bag for me didn't feel great before the race and like the Clydebank 5k I struggled to recover pace from the seemingly endless headwind sections. But reasonably happy with overall race especially 5th mile tail wind section. clairevmc Decided to start this slower to see if that helped my pacing. First k - 3.35 which was fine. Felt much better going round - 5k in 19.07 so both 5Ks exactly the same. Headwind from 9k onwards cost me a better time. Was almost on schedule for a PB but couldn't push in the last k for the wind. Felt good though. Great course and lovely and dry and sunny. dd The sub 60 still stands to beat me again :( Tiredness combined with the wind from all angles for about 9/10k and the beating sun got me in the end. But its the same for everyone. It just wasnt my day :( Unaffiliated 1:01:42 1:01:42 1:03:49 47.86

!!! No idea I could do that! I though maybe if all went under 47 was a possibility! After 6:50 first mile (fastest mile in any race other than downhill the last mile at Arthur Seat 5k!) I thought my body would just give up at some point but decided to keep going for it anyway, 22:31 at 5k beat that PB an yet I still kept holding on!

Sunbed Athlete With it being the opening race in this years Scottish Athletics Road Race Grand Prix I knew it would be a good field that would be heading here.Having never ran under 33mins on this course I knew I had to have a very good run to elimanate that. However ran good considering recent probs with hip/thigh & took 16th place which got me 5pts towards GP.Another plus side was that I managed to reel guys in & pass them in the final 1-1.5k of the race.
Chuffed to bits when I heard my son caine(Sunbed Jnr) took a whopping 3 mins off his 5k PB with a time of 20:57.
Hes been working hard & its paid off.Hes putting it down to his new pair of Adizeros. Cambuslang Harriers, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 31:29 32:05 33:20 81.09

Tizer Tough into the wind, which seemed to be in my face for every section other than from 6.5-8.5k where it helped a little but not as much as I would have liked. Have to be pleased though as it's over 2 mins off my pb Falkirk Victoria Harriers 35:16 37:49 38:30 37:49 70.45
