Yorkshire Wildlife Park 10k. Jeffed 30:30

It started fine and jeffing was going well for 5k then I was hampered by a painful foot - irritated nerve type burning in my 3rd and 4th toes on left foot, which made running very unpleasant. It eased a bit when I walked, so I walked more than I needed to. I guess I wore the wrong shoes.

The km markers were well out, being nearly 0.5km early from the 2km sign. That continued throughout; the 9km marker appeared when my Garmin said 8.5km. So I was hopeful of a sub 1:25 finish time. Annoyingly, the last km was actually nearly 2km long and Garmin shows the race to be long. I lost the will to live on this last section. Not helped when I had to stop because some ignorant pedestrians walked across the race course despite marshals asking them to wait.

All round a bit frustrating but I got a SB at 5k and 10k distances and if I can sort the toe pain out, I know I could do 10k faster
