I did 20:23 at parkrun a couple of weeks ago. Just saying. I was trying too.

Interesting that Mo seems quite happy with broadly a half at mp while most of the rest of us would be gutted at that.
I say that not having seen it so don’t know conditions or what happened.
22 character builders for me today. The main aim was holding off hypothermia.

I thought that too. Though it does look like a slow course and it's not as if he really needs race practice.

I'd like to see Mo run 2:03 in poor conditions

And FWIW I am reasonably optimistic of going slightly faster at Manchester than I did in Dentdale yesterday. I did the same last year

Wind was brutal down South today. It would have been blowing a steady 25 mph, gusting to 45 mph when Mo was racing......

I ran the Big Half too - the cross winds & head winds were brutal. It felt like you might get blown into the Thames at some poins on Tower Bridge - it must have been close to being stopped I think. I found it tough going in the wind & hamstring still not right. Managed 1:43 for top 8% in ladies & 3% in ahe group so all things considered quite happy. Was initially disappointed as jogged a 1:36 a few weeks ago but wind was just so energy sapping. Must have been worse for Mo as no one to shelter behind. Festival afterwards cancelled due to wind. They'd also taken down meet up.area so finding my other half post run was almost as big a challenge as the run.

Lots of twists & turns too. I suffer from claustrophobia so the mile through the tunnel was a bit of a challenge- I'd somehow missed that on course description when I signed up for the race!

With the caveat that 3 miles missed or run will make no discernible difference to the outcome of a race in 10 weeks time, I've got 11 miles MLR on the schedule tonight and insufficient time to run that all in one go.
I could do about 8 whilst I wait for one of my offspring to do a drama group, then drive him home and potter out for 3 more.
Or I could just sack off the 3 more on the basis that 8 is nearly as good as 11.
I'm guessing the latter would be the preferred option (assuming I've got no other opportunities to switch things around this week, which I haven't).
