Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Larkim - Sounds like no harm done and lesson learnt. I run in the mornings with no food beforehand but would always have something decent the evening before and that's more crucial after an evening session (I don't generally run in evenings unless racing but do weights up to twice a week).

I sometimes also get caught out with awful early morning runs if I havent caught up from the night before. I may do evening session, early morning 12+, but I know now to eat a decent dinner, even if not hungry when I get from the session (but usually I am so its fine anyway).

You also need to be careful with REDs if you run hard then fairly hard back to back without fuel. Obviously a one off isnt a problem.

Gus / Fergus / Angus, it's all Scotch to me (and Curly).:-)

Great 10m Curly. That's a good solid set of PBs now last year and this year. A 3:10-3:12 would round it off nicely.

After a short skim read i see the sidebar is looking fairly i this year.. Sorry to hear injury has got the better of people lately.

Not been around much this year mainly due to my own injury woes for the first 2 months of the year but getting back to some sort of normality now. I'm in for London but it's now a training run given my lack of fitness and not much time to rectify it in time.

Best of luck to those with marathons in the near future and i'll maybe bump into those who are at London :)

Curly you were on fire today, great running. I was 3 minutes back but it wasn’t a target race and hopefully I can build on this.

Great run Curly. I done it a few years back an really enjoyed it. Was planning on this year as well but as not really in any race shape and not doing a mara, I didn't bother (it's a bit of a trek and early start for me)

Did you see our Prime Minister marshalling? She does it every year.
