Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Had a 5k race today. Wasn't too sure how I was feeling going into it. Had a few weeks off with illness and then holiday. Beforehand said I was happy with sub 21 but still optimistically wanting sub 20.

In the end got 20:42. Splits were 3:56 3:57 4:09 4:12 4:15 14. I fell away quite badly! Still happy with sub 21 though even pacing would have been much more enjoyable!

So I've still not cracked 20mins. I had a 5k race last Saturday and I thought it would be the day that I finally did it. But I was off the pace from the start and nothing to give when I tried to push. Might give a crack at a parkrun but I'm not targeting it as such. I'm feeling good at the moment, training is good, so I know it will happen at some point!

Thatโ€™s a shame peanut. The problem with 5k is that if youโ€™re not on it from the start itโ€™s hard to make it up. If trainings going well and your enjoying your running then it will happen maybe at parkrun if you have taken the pressure of yourself.
