Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My favourite is 160:40, it keeps fatigue at bay for hours and hours :)

180/120s. Hmm. I think that would feel to me like a walk, where I ran bits, even though the run distance would be well ahead of the walk distance.

Re shorter intervals, the lowest I can go without feeling a bit antsy is 60/40s. Yes, that is the same ratio as 180/120, but withput long enough to forget what you are actually out for.

For me, it is all about keeping fatigue at bay, and 160/40 seems to work a treat :)

My current favourite ratio is 210/30, I don't like walking for more than 30s (unless it's a proper hill) and runs much shorter mean I tend to do them too fast.

Planning on playing with ratios for long runs and getting at least one steady paced run-without-walking midweek one in too over the next month.
Can run more frequently without feeling niggles with the RW though :)

30:30 seems to be working for me. I managed to keep going for the whole of parkrun and averaged 13:12 mm, and improvement on the 13:45mm I've been doing all week, with less out of breathless and no calf ache :)
