Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

So in the notes field I'm guessing they are in 1 mile chunks, right? I think in the view you are showing you can change the split size and it is set to 8 splits a mile. I think there is a slider to change that value (I’ll post a pic. If I can find it)

My Garmin today didn’t record any steps or any splits in my 10k even though it beeped at every mile

Here you go. The splits are set under the pace section. See where it says 400 metres below? See that to 1mile and they they will match the notes

Since i got my 735xt last summer i've always had it set to miles not km.

Though it always uploaded in miles for some reason whilst running it always showed pace in m/km. I'd fiddled with everything to change it but in the end just learnt to use it as was.

After I'd connected it to my new phone yesterday (galaxy instead of iphone) it is now showing pace as m/m though I've nothing to any of the settings.

Now if i can just have my swim in meters on my watch and then up load as meters for 100,200,400and 800 then miles i'll be happy 🤣

Your units are set in Garmin Connect. In GCM look under Settings> User Settings> Units.

When you reload the app it takes the settings from the website. Sounds like they got out of sync. Check connect.Garmin.com just to be sure.

Thanks flanker that was me asking about how to save battery life! Have managed to add turn off Bluetooth using your instructions! I’ve never had pulse ox on! I’ve got another long training run or 2 back to back marathons booked for June so it will be interesting to see how the watch is with these changes! Thanks!
