Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Yeah. Its all good now chunky.

Sadly you have 3 choices imperial, imperial uk and metric.

You can't mix and match for all or just 1 activity which is what would be perfect for swimming.

I suppose it's a bit British centric, but it does annoy me that I can't choose to mix and match my units on various sites / services. I think in m/cm and kg for body units, but miles for running and cycling, but I don't think that's a combo many other countries use.

You're right larkim.

We do like to mix things up over here.

Just go all metric. Once you do, it all makes sense!

I'd have to unlearn all my running paces!

That annoys me about my Forerunner 45s, I’ve got it set to imperial so I can see things in miles, but that means I get the temperatures on the weather screen in Fahrenheit.

azx, but I like the quirky combos of both.

Though eventually, after years, I did learn to think only in kg at work so maybe by the time I'm using a zimmer to run I'd have got my head round it. 🤣

For running I do distances in miles and heights in metres. Apparently that's called British units in some places so I can't be that unusual, though it's definitely weird.
I have tried to get my head around paces in min/km instead, but there are all those races which only have mile markers...

There are various CIQ data fields that allow 'Opposite' units to be displayed. So you can set up a page show data fields in chosen or opposite fields together. That should work.

Sigh
Change to metric and learn your 1.61 times table :-)
