Got my kids to blitz their bedrooms: 2 bags of recycling and 2 of rubbish, a couple of things for the charity bag, all in an hour! You can see their floors! Now I need to get rid of a load of Brio train track. I thought it was worth quite a bit but can see from eBay that it might not be. And not sure whether I can be arsed with the hassle of getting selling it so I might just donate it all.
Anyone want a load of Brio train track for free? I gave Formerly on here a massive load of Lego yesterday too!

You gave away Lego? That's hard core decluttering

You could always ask a local nursery/playgroup/school if they would like your Brio? I'd take some if it was offered!
I agree with V'rap - we still have the Lego (my son is 19....).

They don't use it, therefore it goes! I don't see the point in keeping stuff gathering dust. I kept a small bag for small visitors, though we don't have them often. Oh yes, our printer died so that's gone to the tip, along with the espresso machine. Next up: 3 sets of speakers.
Now if only I could arrange a small fire in the vicinity of Mr fleecy's clothes...

It's not like Lego is hard to get hold of...My kids were given whole sets long after they stopped playing with it, really pissed me off after years of treading on it.

VP's large Lego collection survived his radical decluttering. He does still play with it sometimes.

My lego is on its second use now - Grandson is playing with his mum and uncles stuff.
Brio would surely be gladly taken by a nursery or playgroup Fleecy

We would gladly grab Brio and I suspect most playgroups would too. Best redistribute locally if possible. We still have (an Irish Boy still uses) a box of K'nex whenever he visits us, although he's a lego fiend at home. If it's still used then it can't be decluttered, and I have another grandson on the way - hopefully.

I'm hoping to have grandkids in about 20 years or so, really not going to hang onto stuff for that long Except for picture books, they are in plastic boxes and I'm trying to summon up the energy to climb a ladder and put them in the loft. The tip was busy today. I have some more electricals to take there tomorrow.
