Change collectors: many places have change counting machines to relieve the boredom of sorting, counting, bagging and banking your change mountain. Banks, supermarkets, etc. but most of them charge a % , especially supermarkets (as much as 8%' I think I heard once).
But if you have one of them there new fangled Metro banks near you, they don't charge at all.
There's something very lovely about staggering in to a bank with a large old Quality Street jar full of coins, dumping it all into a machine which then spits out a piece of paper to take to the till and exchange for crispy bank notes.
£800 on my last trip. Whoop!

Lol must have been a bloody big tin!
I decluttered my handbag today, it was rank. And took some books, a broken plastic box and some holey shoes to the tip.

Fridge has been decluttered and cleaned out. I sadly didn't find £800 worth of old change in the salad boxes, just some manky courgettes.

£800!?
HSBC branch in Lichfield has a change counting machine, they don't charge existing customers to use it. Sainsbob's has a Coinstar machine. I think it charges a 9.9% processing fee so I tend to avoid using it.

Garage de-clutter commenced 0900hrs this morning. Two car loads of garden/diy/god only knows what 'stuff' to recycling centre already. Now having a tea break. Its filthy work. Spiders and odd toad have had free reign in there for the last few years I have a vision of clean painted floors and brickwork with everything shelved, hanging on hooks or in storage boxes.

We have put the house on the market and I am dreading getting an offer which will mean packing. We have only been here 6 years and really de-cluttered from our last house but the cellar is looking quite full, as is the summer house and the shed!
Mr Moo will not throw clothes away, they have to go to the "use for doing work around the house pile" but seriously how much does he need for that?
I must sort out my running trainers and cycling shoes, along with kit as I have way to much but only wear the same one or two things.

My sympathies Mandymoo. I moved out in April and into my partners house which is already stuffed to the gunnels. I've ended up having to rent out a storage container which is costing a fortune but we will need the furniture when we move house (hopefully) next year.

Mandymoo, after playing musical houses the last 3 years in a what has felt like a constant cycle of declutter, pack, unpack, more clutter, declutter ... best advice is start early and don't throw everything in a box to sort at the other end. My garage de-clutter has stalled! After 4 trips to the dump, including throwing out an old petrol lawnmower that was too heavy for me karma has bit me on the ass. Half way way through mowing the front grass with the flymo it spluttered and starting smoking. Have burnt it out
