GM - you'll be fine, get practicing. It was a bit intimidating at first as I've been driving a small-ish car for such a long while, but didn't take much getting used to. I do 80% of the driving as I'm not a very good passenger these days. I navigate when we don't trust the sat nav - because I don't trust Husband's navigation ![]() I intend driving it until it falls apart, can't see being 70 stopping me. Next door in their 80s tow a huge caravan - that would worry me a lot more than a 6M van. |

I’m 70 next May and hadn’t given any thought to giving up driving the motorhome. I’ll need to renew my license but as our MH is 3.5 ton all up, I won’t need to jump through any additional hoops. |

![]() I'll brave it one day, when I need to, but, tbh, Geoff isn't a silent passenger and his "helpful" comments about how I should be driving put me off. I drive the car with him as a passenger sometimes but I'm already confident with a car, so I just block him out. |

All set up at Seaview CCC site at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Decided to go with "Hyacinth" for a name. First time I've cooked more than porridge on board too! On my second beer, what could possibly go wrong?? |

Nice set up. We enjoyed our stays at Seaview. Another vote for the fresh fish place - the dressed crab is divine!

I'm sure we keep giving ourselves away as tent campers... While washing up the breakfast pots ie billy-cans, the lady at the sink next to me had proper saucepans. We're the youngest, roughest folk on site when we CCC it. Meanwhile... |

What a fantastic view @cackleberry We're just back from a temporary site in Bradford on Avon. On a bus route and there are lovely canalside walks. We got the bus into Bath, explored some of OH's childhood haunts and walked back. Slept well after over 30,000 steps. We're both 70+ now, and have no plans to give up the motorhome in the foreseeable. |
