also listening to the rain, can't see yesterday's hill walk today it's all claggy I too like the rain at night - but not all day. Just hoping the grass field doesn't get too soggy to drive off on Tuesday! |

I don’t mind gentle rain at night when I’m in our van, but I have to put my head under a pillow when it rains hard to deaden the sound. (I also do the same when my wife has a snorey session). |

I may need to resort to earplugs. The back of the van seems to be under trees so I’ve got both the noise of rain, plus larger drops as well as other debris falling from the trees.

We sleep really well in our van too. We're back home too, and had such a fabulous time. We were so lucky with the weather, I got to see the tulips, ran a Z parkrun, and explored a part of France I didn't know, and that we both really loved. Like you @Mandymoo we can console ourselves with planning for September. I'm very pro-Europe, but wish they had a more uniform policy on clean air zones and road tolls! Or even a single place where all the requirements were listed. We're pretty confident about the French requirements, but plan to head north next time. |
