You'll love Loch Lomond. Where are you staying? We bought this for Midges. outdoorworlddirect.co.uk |

We are at Milarrochy Bay. Today will consist of a paddleboard on the Loch, a walk along to the cafe/pub and a chill in the sunshine - meant to be early 20's. Tomorrow we leave Scotland and head to Yorkshire boarder - trip is nearly over but it has been fantastic |

@Mandymoo we accept refuges North of the border. You don’t have to go back. 😁

Can anyone help me decide on my last two nights on Lewis and Harris please? We have 9 nights booked up in Lewis, so feel like we should really go to Harris for the last two. 3 nice looking sites in West Harris trust are fully booked. These would have been ideal. Horgabost - beach campsite in stunning location. Downsides for us are no electric (would manage), the potential for noise (beach partying youngsters), the toilet/shower facilities get poor reviews (could use our own facilities) and uneven pitches that are a bit of a free-for-all. Kneep - I really fancy this campsite, but it is still on Lewis. Would mean a 1 hour 40 drive to places like Luskentyre beach, which we definitely want to explore. Not the end of the world, just have a day out. West Harris Trust parkups are dotted about the place, where you can stay over for a donation. Can't book though, so I would worry that these are full. I've also wondered one night on kneep on the way down and then one night on Horgabost, so if Horgabost is not to our taste then it's only the one night. |

I think I might just go for Horgabost. If I hate it, then we can look at the parkups around it, or suck it up for 2 nights.

We stayed in July 2019 and used the West Harris Trust sites. They were quiet then but things might have changed now as more people visit. I would absolutely use them again if we visited Harris. I’ll try and dig up my favourite one and share the location - near the best hidden beach. |

It’s changed since we were there, but this was a lovely spot - near Hushinish which was by far our favourite beach on the island maps.app.goo.gl |
