I used to hate beetroot all my life until about 5 years ago when I cooked something using raw beetroot and realised that the stuff I hated was the sliced beetroot that came out of a jar and could sometimes be found in *shudders* particularly nasty sandwiches that I was expected to eat in my youth....

I hate kale but for some reason am quite partial to cute little kalettes Otherwise, I'm partial to all vegetables but there are several that my cantankerous colon prefers me to avoid. Fruit, I can take or leave.

My new audiobook (‘A year of living Danishly’) told me that learning a language was good for your brain, so I have just tried to read an article in French about ‘10 things that really annoy managers’. As far as I can make out, complaining that you don’t have enough work to do, arriving late carrying a take away coffee, not seizing opportunities, asking stupid questions, not being a team player and some other things that I need a dictionary to work out.

I can't think of a vegetable I don't like - maybe kale its not something we have really
well I completed my ultra - nearly 43 miles of it! some of the experience was fab - I ran with a lovely lady and we were really well suited as running pals, some of the route was great - canal and trail, but trudging through a muddy cowfield not my cup of tea I'm probably not an ultra runner but I may do the odd one if its not too long and its with friends
Sharkie I love the change of attitude its so tempting to compare ourselves to others and not to see how good our own achievements are - and you should be really proud of yours
