Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

C Block - there's no place like it.

Possibly Badger. They’ve fixed it now, so we should be back to the usual obstruction.

At a recent meeting there was a show of hands as to who had ever used Concur. I was one of two out of over a hundred.

“The successful candidate will investigate issues, formulate options for a way forward and produce specifications setting out solutions. The work of the functional analyst will be to liaising between the business and development teams where appropriate, to ensure business requirements are translated fully and accurately. You should have extensive experience of working in a second line support role.”

Interesting. That’s probably a PO2 in our pay scale terms. We have very similar roles at SO1 (c.28-31k)

This is new today at SO2 (c31-34)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established analyst to undertake the role of Force Performance Analyst within Essex Police’s Performance Analysis Unit (PAU).

In this high-profile role, you will analyse data to deliver insight and direction to the chief officer team, senior leaders and the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

You will use a variety of data analysis tools and systems, statistical processes and qualitative and quantitative techniques to derive the “what?” the “so what?” and the “what’s next?” from numerous information sources. You will then communicate your findings to senior decision-makers in order to prevent crime, protect the vulnerable and deliver the best possible service to the people of Essex.

You will be educated to a degree level or be able to evidence equivalent practical experience within the field of analysis and/or data science. You must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be able to evidence your experience (or skills sets) regarding the manipulation, analysis and presentation of data. You must also be able to evidence how you think strategically (i.e. how you plan and pursue long-term goals). Experience of working with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Business Objects, Power BI or equivalent would be an advantage.

Is the ability to run deathmatches in a quasi-scientific manner, alongside the main duties, a requirement?

As a direct outcome of the Culture Review, we’re also launching the UK Culture Forum, bringing together a network of Culture Champions from across the UK offices to serve as the driving force behind these culture initiatives. The forum’s remit is to identify, discuss, and plan ways to promote and drive the desired culture throughout the UK offices and, in doing so, raise awareness of and build engagement on [BigCo]’s purpose, strategy, and priorities.
