Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I probably need to reposition my grid as there's a golf course in part of it, and they get rather sniffy if we wander off the footpath that goes through the course.

GlennR - your lawn would need to be a lot bigger.

Even the groundsman at Lords (assuming he plays WSW) only gets four points for mowing the grass!

I've got 3 inaccessible squares on Woking Golf Club, not bad considering the area it covers. West Hill GC on the other hand, completely inaccessible.

Fortunately that's not part of my grid. Do you go wandering around Brookwood Cemetery?

Although I was recently having a moan about my opponent who was logging all his walking as running (until Wednesday when he walked to the ferry ⛴ terminal and hasn’t been seen since) I would back having more points for walking. I definitely think walking and biking should not score the same - it’s so easy to take a bike out and rack up a few miles in a fraction of the time it would take to walk them. Love that the game has got me taking the bike out though occasionally instead of going somewhere in the car.

I’d say the opposite and reward biking where you have to put on a load of layers, gloves, shoe covers, helmet even to ge out of the door in the winter, as opposed to just strolling out normally dressed for a walk.
Fair enough about being able to cover way more squares on a bike, but the ‘faff factor’ is huge even without considering bike prep.

I don’t think we should reward the faff of preparation for an activity just the activity itself. Otherwise we should have fifty points per square for skiing.

How many points per square do you get for skiing?
