Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At uni I practically lived on toasted hotdogs.

Worked best to chop the sausage up quite small, put on bread with tomato sauce and sprinkle a bit of cheddar. Close sandwich and put in toasted sandwich maker.

For an extra treat (but a bit of a bugger cleaning up) I would sprinkle a bit of sugar on the top slice which would caramelise nicely as it toasted.

Submarine roll with a banana and fruit puree inside. Looks like a hot dog but much healthier.

My favourite dirty snack (meal really in terms of calories) is a cheese, Marmite and salt & vinegar crisp sandwich. Should be on a really malty brown bread. I'm going to call it the Umami Club

Corned beef Alaska. Mound of corned beef slavered in tomato sauce, covered in mashed potato and warmed through in oven.

It's not necessarily an unusual combo, but it's a bit of a 'food hack' I guess - Use cuppasoup as a pasta sauce by just roughly draining the pasta and adding the soup powder to the pan (sometimes I need to add an extra drop of water if I accidentally drained the pasta too well) - I find it works best with thicker soups like cream of something.

Hurry Curry (TM), sealed Naan bread filled with various curries. Bang it in the microwave and you have the Hurry Curry.

Came up with the idea with a colleague while we were in the redundancy pool at work. It was a foolproof plan to waste our tiny redundancy payouts. Neither of us were made redundant.
