Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The digestives remind me of when I was in my early teens and I would have soup and digestive biscuits for dunking (in the soup)

Never have biscuits now though... they are devils food ;)

Weetabix with jam smeared over the top and eaten like a biscuit!

Cheese and jam sandwich. Actually, cheese and pretty much anything!

Crunchy peanut butter and jam sandwich or on toast.

I'm thinking DeeGee's suggestion could be improved with a splash of tabasco or Worcestershire sauce.

From my student days, when the larder and the bank balance was low, I would usually have the ingredients to make Mashed Peatato.

Ingredients: Potatoes, frozen peas, and salad cream.

Take some potatoes (cut out any green or sprouting bits), cook and mash them, mix in the peas and a good quantity of salad cream and enjoy.

Mix lager into grated cheese for a refreshingly twist on roasted cheese.

Optional: supplement with some Branson Pickle stirred through.
