It's utter brilliance. We are supposed to be 'transforming' into an agile, responsive organisation closely aligned to the customer.
It's taken them 6 months to appoint the first layer of management, and probably a third are noted as 'interim' appointments.
It does not appear to be much of a charge they are leading...:-)

Bleeeurgh. Mind you, my 'line manager' manages 84 full-time staff and another 40odd fractionals. So she knows what's going on.

EA. Well done Gobi. I've got the beginnings of a knob this month but can't be arsed to post it. October shpuld be more noteworthy
Today I've watched toddler gymnastics then watched the small ride her balance bike round the park then gone to the pool so she made up for yesterday's missed swimming lesson.
Does that count as some sort of BINGO?
I'll be running up the hoggenburg 3 times tomorrow in the dark

EA : weiner - would need electron microscope to find it! Seeing consultant again tomorrow to probably arrange next round of cortisone injections, and to talk longer term solutions. I am determined to do *something* again, the next planned "race" is a fancy dress Halloween 5k which I will be walking with a friend, but id like to do something more challenging
Nice one Gobi and Linds

helicopter view annoys me a lot however the one that really gets me very very angry is "we are where we are" which actually means "we fucked it up, and are going to do nothing about it", its a metaphorical slopey shoulderd shrug

As long as the glide path continues to involve a jolly for me once a quarter I’m all for it.

Forgive me, for I have sinned.
Last week during a meeting with the CFO, who does not have a background in higher education, I deliberately used a load of bullshit education buzzwords to distract him from what we were supposed to be talking about.
