At the end of yesterday a couple of the Vets dames joined up with one of thec teams in the new Masters class, the Vintage Angels, and they asked us if we'd pay today with them also, so we did.

And then their last opponent also asked if anyone would join them for their last game, so we did.

And *those* opponents also said they needed more subs for the final, so we said we'd pay with them too. But in the end I was too late going over to join them and they'd been overrun with volunteers so didn't need me, which honestly was a relief because they were a team of Eereklasse and Dutch national players; I would have been completely out of my league.

The Vets captain did play with them, though, and they won, so it's the second year in a row that she's been a champion with a team other than the Vets 🤣
