Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What was your highest in a year Joe Hawk? I did 31 in one year, and that year still includes my 2nd and 3rd fastest times, but I know people do many more than that.

I lost interest over the summer. Burnt out a little, hit my targets 100 marathons and sub 3. Probably hit around 40

I'm running the Great Manchester Run on Sunday and whilst I've asked a few HM question in HM-time specific threads, I'm likely to report back here just on the basis that all roads lead to Manchester Marathon 2024.

Based on a sample size of 2 marathons, I'm not the best HM to M converter by a long shot so the aim is to use Sunday as a benchmark run with the hope that the marathon block has been of some use, and then run a target half in October. I'd be delighted with anything under my current half PB of 1:27:20 and am determined to run the first 4 or 5 miles sensibly (famous last words).

Good luck allmatthew
& well done HappyG(rrr) on a very decent HM just a few weeks after a marathon. Looks like a great route although that hill just past halfway looked a stinker.

Thanks Forrest Jooligan and larkim. If anything Sunday looks like a warm one, but it's a 8.30am start so hopefully will avoid the worst of it.

19:19 today which I am very pleased with.

Now a week to taper and itโ€™s so long I donโ€™t know what to do. Never really tapered for a half either as they are usually part of a marathon build up.

Would a four mile tempo on Tuesday aiming for race pace feel about right or is that too much.
