Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks for asking :-)

It was very wet! I enjoyed the first half despite the continuous rain but my lack of long continuous road running showed in the second half so I did slow to a 6 minute positive split, not helped by blisters from my shoes being too loose! You'd think I would know how to tie a running shoe by now 🀣

Time nothing to write home about, 3:48, but that's 5 minutes better than London 6 months ago and on a much harder course so I can't complain :-)

Most importantly, I retain my ever-present status with 15 out of 15 finishes at the event :-)

Great stuff - Shame about the rain and blisters but sounds like there's many positives to be taken from it.

Now that you've hit 15 you're going to have to keep going to at least 20 ;)

Well done KinkyS shame about the shoe problems/blisters

Today was the start of marathon training. After a build up to a decent weekly mileage I decided it was time. A long build up with time off to do 3 key races and have a mental break from training

Started with the first long run of the plan 18k split into 3 lots of 5k easy 1 k MP. Finished run at father in laws so after a little chat it was a short cool down run home
