Hope you get over the cold quickly DT19.
It might be if i could OO61 though I'd prefer it about 20C warmer.
Well, I ran. Just two miles though as I could feel the hamstring becoming increasingly tight. It was another cold walk back! Hoping that by stopping then and resting tomorrow (I'm at work) I might be able to go a bit further on Wednesday but we'll see. I'll keep on with the rehab exercises.

OO61 - 17 is still great this far out, esp as you did 22 last week.
Wardi - that's big miles given no long run, will you stay at 60ish now? Maybe look to bring some quicker work in?
Ouch - that was a decent weekends running.
Gerard - great that you had such a good day. Enjoy the honeymoon. Good work on fitting in a long run too.
DT - hope the lurgy is soon gone, you have prepared well as ever.
LMH - shame that, I feel your hammy/walk home pain. I'm into week 6 now.

Bike commute/run this morning, hammy was a little tight but felt runnable, I can't go far away, so ended up running up and down a trail slope, and ended up with 5m of steady Kenyan ish hills at av 7.30s, so that's some actual training in my book, 8m in total. Will probably do the bike hill reps tomorrow. HR was a bit high, but no surprise there.

That's defo training TR 👍 Bad luck on the cold DT but you seem to be powering through. Sorry you didn't get far LMH, hang in there. I just swam today. A rest for the legs won't go amiss after the weekend. I'm in a road relay squad this weekend so avoiding injury is my main priority. It's Saturday so should still be ok for 20 on Sunday. Wardi, have you ever done or heard of the Signals relays?

OO61.. vaguely but don't know anything about those relays. I know some of the fast crew from my club have entered a team at the Northern relays in Redcar on 30th March.
TR.. you're doing well to fit in the training that you can manage and not overdo it. As for me; yes now I'm feeling stronger I'll introduce a few strides, 200's to start with.
OO.. I had 2 falls on the same knee within a couple of weeks (quite a few years ago). Once the abrasions had healed the knee was very stiff and I couldn't bend it fully. A cortisone injection cured it.
Nice work on the 57m week.
DT19.. bad luck on the cold, I usually find the worst is over after 4 days. Great effort on the 24m at the end of a big week.
Gerard.. sounds like a wonderful day for you and the bride. Credit due for fitting a few runs in! Bet you can't wait for Tenerife.
4.5+4m double today. Felt very cold out with the NE wind so had 3 layers on and 2 pairs of gloves. Light rain most of the day too.

Lmh, sorry to hear it didn't work out today as well as you'd hoped. Hopefully Wednesday will come good. I see the Ashby places went in minutes.
Wardi, your washing machine must be permanently on the go with the regular double run days without the triple layering!
Oo, how far is the relay leg?
Tr, sounds like a session to me!
Feel like I've turned a corner last 3 or 4 hours with this cold. Congestion, sneezing and nose blowing have reduced by a good 75%. Hopefully a good sleep tonight will pull me along. Will still switch my mlr and session over so mlr is tomorrow to buy me an extra day recovery.

Good news DT19.
Did you get anywhere trying to self refer for physio OO61?
Planning any races Wardi?
Hamstring doesn't feel any worse this morning which is the most positive thing I can take from yesterday. Intend to try again tomorrow.

Morning all
Great mileage DT hope the cold soon passes
Nice double again Wardi
Hope you get to run tomorrow LMH. Shame about yesterdays run
Gerard glad you all had a lovely day and some running as well
That sounds like a good session TR
5 miles easy yesterday no Achilles problems after Saturdays session. Today planning a fast finish tempo run probably on the treadmill - had an eye clinic appointment this morning and eyes still a little blurry from eye drops.

Glad the achilles is behaving riggys. Is the treddie better for it? I ventured out for my tempo sesh, a mix of 400s and 800s. I ran on the Prom to avoid the bends on the track. Felt sluggish and weather beaten but got the job done. The knee was sore but I just ignored and ran through it. Hope you got out again today LMH. Yes I contacted the doc and got a physio appointment. Unfortunately first available slot is mid March 🙄
