Oscar's Everyone Day

23rd June 2024
In 2021 Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".

Sadly we lost Oscar in March, so I'd like to dedicate Everyone Day to him. Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.

Love: mine is Zero

GWS GG - I found this thread quite helpful over the last 10 days with my cold bug - it made me think carefully about what to do when I couldn't run, but felt like doing something x

Nasty, GG death Get well soon!

I suspect I'm suffering the consequences of not respecting a virus quite as much as it would like. But dammit, the weekend doesn't know that there's a virus in residence, it happens anyway.

Thanks both I’m ok at the moment I’m struggling to walk to the bathroom but it’s when I’m up and about and feeling RAR that it will be hard. I’ll keep coming here for support to stay still.

The weekend I felt ill I managed a short walk which felt like a marathon I was gutted. At least I can officially sit still now.

I hope you feel better soon, GG. It can take a lot longer to get over a virus than we think /want - so do try to take it easy.

Rest day for me today, have taken it seriously, just some washing up and baking, and a rather indulgent dinner of fluffy vegan pancakes and sausages.

We have our trip to Oz in 5.5weeks so I need to be fit and well for that not least that I don’t want to be turning up to Hong Kong Oz or Singapore with a fever 😬

An hour of Pilates tonight so I won't do a Home session on top. I did find the pyramid to extended plank and back quite easy after 2 days of downward dogs!

Sorry to hear that gg. Hope it gets cleared soon.

Yesterday was my rest day - 1 hour in the gym. A lot of it just gentle rollering, stretching, and a bit of core. Back to a gentle jog this lunch time. :-) G

About This Thread

Welcome to what may be the least watched, least contributed to, thread ...ever.

It's for everyone (well, me) that thinks real Rest Days are vital and a grand thing in themselves. And for everyone (well, me) who feels that one day at a time DONE WELL is always better than half arsed for-evers.

There will be RULES of course (my ball, my game)
