Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Enjoy larkim - many years ago I drove the Mulsanne Straight, returning to catch a ferry, not racing.

I've been driven down the Mulsanne Straight - as above nothing exciting, just on the way back from a French holiday with a mate.

Have fun !!

So this afternoon it was about 32deg and humid when we started our track run. We accessed the course at the Porsche curves which is about a mile before the the start finish straight. By two miles in, just towards the start of Mulsanne I knew it wasn't going to be a pretty run, dripping with sweat whilst my (fast runner) son and my (chilled cyclist) other son teased me about how slow I was going. Some decent walking breaks, before finally finding a cold water tap at Mulsanne on a campsite which I liberally poured all over me to bring the temps down. Could then run to the end, was absolutely knackered.

Son 1 then wanted to see if he could get close to the strava segment CR and son 2 wanted to nail it on his bike, so off we set for lap two after I'd picked up my bike. After 2 miles son 1 was feeling just like I did on the previous lap (vindication!!) then we got a call from son 2. His brief message was that he'd had a major bonk by Mulsanne and the Gendarmarie were with him 😮. I quickly caught him up to find him with 6 police officers giving him water and wanting to get the first aid to him via the fire service. He seemed ok to me, but I once again revisited the campsite for water and returned to him where the police had put him laid down with his feet up and given him.some more water. After a few minutes of sane conversation with him e described having pushed too hard, decided to get of the bike and lay on the floor "for a nap" and the police had spotted him after about five minutes 😮

After getting him sorted with some more water and a bit of sugar, we eventually managed to roll away without getting checked out properly, and he's fine now!!

Turns out only mad dogs and English men do go out in the midday sun in Le Mans.

Barbecued sausages for team, now listening to competing Europop from various tents on the campsite which is in full party mode and looking forward to an early rise for the race tomorrow.

Does anyone use the F1 app on android and find it crashing a lot lately?
