My local Sainsbury's has hanger recycling, woohoo! I'm taking 50+ down there tomorrow. This still leaves at least 50 unused in the house, mind. I've been trying to find something to do with these hangers for at least 3 yrs.

Fierce and Festive Fleecy
2 bags of clothes and textiles gone to school for Phil the Bag. A LOT of very small socks, I can't believe my kids' feet were ever that size, they're bigger than mine now!

I’ve stalled on the unpacking and decluttering because I’ll be having the ceilings skimmed and bedrooms painted in the new year and will just have to pack it all away again! The removals company came and collected a lot of boxes which has helped.

We have been doing a bit more decluttering, have had a couple of tip trips with various stuff including a computer. Quite a few pairs of shoes and boots to go to the shoe bank. Have also finally been clearing my old work stuff. Still a fair bit to do as it has to be sorted/shredded but getting there. We want to have the office done by Christmas - we've been talking about it for years!

Slightly gutted to arrive to Sainsbury's today, they aren't taking hangers after all (poo). The box I saw was gone & customer service said they will only take Sainsbury's own hangers. I rounded up 30 of those, which is a start, I guess.

3 bags of shoes and boots to the shoe bank today and a bag of stuff to a charity shop. While sorting a cupboard I found a box of books that need looking through next.

I have been told that 2018 is the year we sort the house out! Oh dear. I don't like it when he touches my stuff (sound like a proper hoarder there...) Already found a bunch of my stuff in a box destined for the skip... (Granted it's stuff I haven't seen for probably 5+ years but that's not the point :D )

They said they recycle them, hope that had some truth to it. I'm eyeing up books in the boys' room. 13yo is a keen reader but it's pulling teeth to get the 9yo to read anything. They never just browse the shelves, sadly.

Cackleberry, you’d better get in with it before he does! Start small, one drawer or box and be honest about what you really need to keep. After a while it gets easier.
