Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's a seriously accomplished day, GM!

Good work to everyone else too, but cataloging stash without getting distracted playing with it is truly medal worthy!

Oo one of yesterday’s newts was to listen to and apply some advice from a podcast. I can’t get on with podcasts (sorry, like reading words not listening to them) but I did enjoy hearing ITG interview EdJ and I heard Fetch quote runnerbean’s advice about letting arms and legs go all floppy and loose to achieve an easy pace. Helped I think

I have purchased new petunias and fritillaries for the the garden and potted up some bulbs that were valiantly trying to shoot in the shed (can't remember what they are, probably a mix of tette a tette daffs and little blue things), so we'll see what they can accomplish in more hospitable conditions.

I'm pleased with my new MacBook now I've connected one of my wireless mice. I'm going to have to get to grips with scrolling and swiping and pinching which I never really have - so. that can be another slightly longer term Newt this year.

Spent half an hour trying to move the side scrollbar with the cursor before realising I just need to move two fingers up and down. Yeah I know.

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
Newts for me today were mostly garden related, first daffodil opened this morning, first blossom appeared this afternoon, newly mowed lawn and cleared borders, new peony growth observed. Went for a walk with Jigs this afternoon and took a different route.

It's nice to see signs of spring.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
