Say you go away on holiday for a week and stay at Turville in the middle of the Chilterns (the real Dibley from the Vicar of Dibley and also the windmill in Chity Chitty Bang Bang!) and you run each day from Turville. You don't upload any runs at all until you get home and when you do so you get to 14 points and draw level with me. I then make an extra run to regain the square and all is OK, no real problems. The other scenario is you upload a years' runs and suddenly a square I was owning with a handful of points is owned by someone else. If the points had been accumulated in real time then I'd have lost the zone and done something about it.
