Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Go-KL This was the infamous Reading Half Marathon that started 45 minutes late thanks to yobs on the course and led to it being moved to the stadium in following years. I was saddened by this as it was the home of my first half marathon and will always hold fond memories for me.
This in other ways was a frustrating race, I was again running with my brother who again beat me. I was heading for a 1:24 but had dreadful problems with blistering on my feet and toes, which slowed me a lot and has seen me never run in racing trainers again. Still it was a half minute quicker than Wokingham, so showed I was heading in the right direction.
It was also the time when I had problems with sciatica and sacra-iliac pain, which had been an on-off problem still three years later. Thankfully apart from having to slow a little on the hills, it didn't affect me in the race.
