I was quite disappointed when I tried a pastel de nata, though unlike the custard tarts sold in multipacks in the supermarket it had the merit of not tasting of nutmeg.

I like some but not others - I think there's a sneaky adding of cinnamon? I do like nutmeg and a proepr egg custard tart. |

cinnamon and ginger - yucky..I hate them both...if I can smell them, then don't want to eat /drink it nutmeg -not fussed at present |

I’ve never knowingly tried a pastel de nata @LazyDaisy. I suspect I would not enjoy the experience so y’all are welcome to my share. I like proper custard - the old school, pourable, over your treacle pudding kind (even cold) but anything eggy and set I find 🤢 Also parsnips. Rather eat me own toe jam |
