Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I'm just past 11.30 so keeping to the 1 hour a day plan so far. A bit more than an hour today and a long run of over 2.30 at the weekend and I know I'll still be ahead to start next week. I hope to fit in a bike ride and a swim at the weekend too but families can be awkward, right? ;-)

Haven't swum yet this year. Just running plus a couple of gyms and I'm at 17hrs, so well ahead. But swim and any other cross train is important. That's why I'm in this thread. Or maybe I should start another one tracking "Balance" - the proportion between run, other aerobic training and stretch/strength? But the boy Fetch doesn't have numbers that support that terribly well. But I know when I'm not doing enough.

Must.Swim.Tonight.

Good work Nellers and everyone else achieving their Training Time targets at this point in the year. :-)G

I'm very slightly behind my 'nearly an hour a day' plan, but only just. I haven't had as many days off work as I should this week so will be making up for lost time today. This is shaping up to be a great January, possibly the best ever.

Only 03:21 for me so far this year, in my defence I have only just started back into training after a year out due to illness. I seem to be doing more X training at the moment than running however my runs have been less than 30 minutes until I build up a little fitness. Once I start to increase the miles I will probably fund it easier to stay on track. Hoping to get out on the bike at the weekend...if the snow stays away!!

Managed a 1.3 mile run/walk today :-) Back still stiff but manageable but don't think I could have done 5k :-O
A bit limited for cross training really - nervous about anything on the bike as that is possibly one of the things that contributed to my bad back. Missing spinning tomorrow. Return to pilates on monday :-) Will try some core/strength but stay off the planks in the next couple of days. Swimming planned for Tuesday :-)

I may actually consider doing a brisk walk and logging that.

Helped today by being about 20s/mile slower on the bike than usual. Over 60 miles, that's 20 extra minutes of training ;)

So- who is in this year?

Not wanting to chase a mileage target? Do multiple sports? Log your cross training?

Declare a target of hours training for the year- doesn't need to be 365, pick your number....

The members of the group have contributed the following notes:

Cuddy says: 365 hours for the year - July update: 204 hours total, of target of 212 (96% of target to date)
MoscowFlyer says: 400 hours for me please! - 181 @ 30/04/13
sioux says: 250 to start with................ End of Aug Total- 177

PenW says: 250 hours (original target) Or we'll see where I get to...... 96 on 30/6

HappyG(rrr) says: 400... 483:52 on 1/12/2013 500 is looking likely! Non-run training proportion staying nicely at 32% for year. Well done Total Training Trackers! G
Velociraptor says: 60 hours a month. That's 720 hours. I don't expect more than 10% of it to be running.

31/1/13: 71:57, just under 10% of target.
28/2/13: 169:20, 23.5% of target.
29/3/13: 247:31, just over one-third of target.

30/4/13: 345:43, 48% of target.
31/5/13: 452:15, 63% of target.
30/6/13: 542.37, 75.27% of target.
31/7/13: 660, 91.67% of target.
shyfire says: 250 .... 189 on 02/12/2013 Fallen behind in Sept with dodgy foot & general blah. 70 hrs to go. Fallen further behind in Oct with doing up old house & hospital visiting. 63 hrs to go. Nov was a write-off. 2 spin classes and a 3 mile walk for the whole month. Bring on 2014.

The Scribbler says: Target 300... 270:27 on 30/11/13

Maclennane says: 400, 66.50 on 28th Feb, 2 hrs up
Reiver says: I will aim for 400.
RunnerDaz says: I will aim for 300! (but that will be running and X-training).....28/02/13...11:41
