Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Our local MP (former shadow health secretary) said a few words before running her 18th parkrun. Her husband then finished in first place.

Our MP did a sort-of dance next to the RD then made a too-long speech. There's a bit of the course where you pass the finish and he started giving a speech there, too.

(He's not my MP so I can be free with my judgements.... we live just over the border in the next constituency :) :))

Well hats off to everyone at Hazlehead, Aberdeen yesterday.

The RD (me!) had a big night out on Friday, and didn't make it.... Seriously mortified, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to show my face again!!!

However the ED was there, they did it all with no scanners or stop watches,
I think they used a mobile phone and written times.

(They did have some equipment that is stored nearby in container, but laptop, scanners etc were charging at mine.....)

I can't actually believe it, I say I can't show my face again, but I'm RD this weekend again so gonna take the humiliation on the chin....

Maz - parkruns happen and people make mistakes.

Don't stress it just buy chocolate :-)

I have no idea how many times I have volunteered as we never cared to count it back in the day but we did once run a parkrun with 2 volunteers and I still ran. Good job I used to be quite fast.
