Susie, I've never thrown up copiously in a restaurant. Not in the height of summer on the Italian Riviera. Not running out of the restaurant, trying to get to a discreet distance and failing, so it looked like I had eaten something bad there. Should such an awful thing have happened, I could have relied on my fiancé of, at that point approximately 21 hours, to help me up off the ground, got me home and nursed me; not laughed his socks off at the faces of the diners, dumped me at home, then got out for dinner without me.

Red Ant
[I was struck down with Norovirus in 2005.] I didn't projectile vomit all over the train tracks at Acton Town at peak rush hour and I didn't have the squits running down my trouser leg either. I did receive more than 30 seconds of warning that I felt violently ill. It wasn't a shaming experience at all. Norovirus is a delightful bug

[oh no, Ant! I did have simultaneous at both ends but at least that didn't start till I got home! I think it was ecoli or something I had. doesn't-tri-boy - yes, I still married him! - came home 2 hours later; then another 2 hours had the bright idea of calling a doctor as I rolled in and out of consciousness; doctor called the ambulance.]

Fragile Do Not Bend
[Oh dear Ant, norovirus is indeed horrible. I caught it a few times when I worked in a hospital but thankfully the symptoms started whilst I was at home. I learned to keep an old washing up bowl under my bed and it's still there today]

[It did put me off my dinner but at least I'm ok. I don't know what was wrong with the poor woman as, luckily for me, the lady behind her sorted her out. I couldn't get out fast enough *shame*]

halfpint
I am totally full of energy and confident I will do some exercise later. I don't want to get under the duvet and hibernate.

I do not feel the urge to fall on my knees and pray to God that Fragile does not mix up the old and new washing up bowls :o
