Stockport is up next, but it's been off the rotation for a few years. I've heard stories about Boggart, and I'm sad it's not been used for a few years!

I forgot Heaton park too of course. Boggart was nuts in terms of boggy single track twisty stuff, I grew up about a mile away from it so there's an odd reminiscence too about it. Probably won't be coming back as it's been a fair few years since it was on the roster. |

Absolutely ruined for today's XC 😂😂 not doing two in two again though I suspect so it's fine. Was about 20 or 30 places down on usual. Felt fine, but legs had absolutely nothing to give.

allmatthew wrote: Thanks @rhb, I was just over 41 mins and pleased with how it went. I saw you ahead of me early on, but no real chance of me closing the gap. A bit hard underfoot - especially down the 'hills' in the wooded section - but always a lot of fun. Here's hoping for a muddier version when we're back there for the last race! Nice one, sounds like you will have been close throughout. Defo felt the firm ground too, my knee is sore today and at times my ankles were grumbling during the race. |

Bogart can't be on the calendar unless local parking improves I'm told. Apparently last time it was there the public bus services were completely gridlocked by the parking overspill. Woodbank is a much tougher course than Kenworthy, I'm kinda dreading it already. |

Curly, 2 in 2 is an impressive effort. Well done.

Yep, as with so many things car dependency seems to dictate non-car based activities! Always amazes me how close to venues runners seem to want to park! Shame Boggart won't reappear though. Well done all racing this weekend! |

Similar issues for our races locally, but transport is so poor and badly connected that it's hard to sort. Today's venue was about 15 miles away, but totally unable to get there except by car (no trains on the branch line on Sunday at the moment, and even then it would be walk 1.5 miles, train, bus, bus). We do quite a lot of car sharing and bigger events charging for parking helps a lot to keep numbers down. Mansfield relays does well with that with the bus to the venue as well. For Sefton Park I stayed nearby the night before as I think parking is hard near there too. |

A local-ish fell race said recently it would dq any runner noted turning up as a solo car occupant! Certainly focussed the minds on car sharing a little!!
