JDA is correct, I'd leapt from the part where he talks about 100g then switches into ozs. So extrapolating, that would be 4 x as much, so maybe 2 minutes? Maybe has more value there then. |

A bit of sleuthing on Steve's splits:- 10k - 44:33 - 7m10 20k - 44:48 - 7m13 30k - 45:25 - 7m19 40k - 48:09 - 7m45 Fin - 11:59 - 8m45 Looks like a gutsy dragging-yourself-over-the-finish-line performance! Bet he treasures those 6 seconds (3:14:54 chip time)! |

Someone sometime is going to invent shoes with an inflatable air chamber so you can change the cushioning or heel drop without changing the weight. And then someone else will have to invent the roadside puncture repair kit for runners. Or maybe both inventions would be utterly pointless. |

Havent Nike been doing that for years? Air Pump or something. Not serious running shoes though. That's just IIRC, all from vague memory....

Well done Steve. That does look like a "digging deep" finish there! ![]() |

I knew my days as a product designer were destined to be short lived. That Reebok even has a valve!
