Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I agree, it can get a bit sycophantic on here, but it's often the case on forums and this one is nowhere near as bad as others (which is why I'm still on it). Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with giving support but you should also be able to feel free to offer an alternative opinion without being shot down in flames.
I got crucified on a RW forum for tempting fate by predicting it wasn't going to rain at Beachy Head a few years back. Christ, if people are that edgy they should just stay in bed wrapped up in a duvet for the rest of their lives.
I may have a strange idea of friendship but I think it's built on being able to take the piss, have an arguement and come out the other side stronger.

Well said RBR! Now, who wants to criticise my training?! Go on, I dare you, I double dare you!! ;-) In all seriousness though, one of the principal strengths of any thread should be that people are happy to provide an alternative view on something; providing it's done respectfully it can only be a virtue.

I think we would all like to disagree with other people comments, but do not mention it on the thread because it may offend. I've lurked on other forums in the pass and some of it can be quite nasty with the "click of the forum" having a right go at someone. Just because he/she may have a different of opinion.

Personally I taken bits and pieces of other people training from the thread and given it a go. Some of it has worked others have not, but I wouldn't dare come back on the thread a mention that piece of advice was a load of poppycock.

I'm probably to much of a nice guy or just a wimp! :)

Welcome Spotter Badger and Puzzler :)

Hello all. Back from Japan.

Too many posts to read back but I think I caught sight of of an excellent result for Westley, well done sir! Any others I should be aware of? :)

10k run this morning and a swim this morning to shake off the jet lag. Next race is pace-making at St Neots half later this month. Potentially targeting a good time at Bedford half in December.

Oi, Freaky! I won't tell our 'other' thread that you're moonlighting on here as long as you don't tell on me? ;-)

Cheers Baggieboy. Did you know, it's almost 20 years to the day that my team, Woking, beat WBA in the 4-2 demolition at the Hawthorns when Tim Buzaglo scored a hat-trick against you?
Sorry to bring that up, but we're about to get thumped away at Brighton tomorrow and we've been making ourselves feel better by talking about that great day.

Really enjoying the training talk, everyone. I must dust off my HRM when the physio gives me the all clear to train properly again.

Hey hey :) I spend 99% of online time on fetch and only 1% on RW anyway, so I guess I'm moonlighting over there :)

How many miles you back up to now?
