Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The lets motivate each other to do our strength and core work thread...

Hi Nellers, I saw you mention all the 'waiting'. Have you tried doing loops of the exercises? (Targetting different areas so one activity isn't using the same area as the last one, and the one after it.) Perhaps you already do this.

Hi JCB. Yes I’ve thought about it but I’m using my own weights in my shed. To switch exercises usually means changing the weights which takes as long as just waiting! I’m toying with buying an extra barbell/pair of dumbbells for this reason but it’s another expense!

Progress update. I did another session last night and I did manage to pair up some of the exercises so I was able to reduce the waiting/recovery time needed. It made it much more bearable. This session is squats, rower deadlift, overhead press, heel lifts, delt raises, curls. I also did some press-ups and abs work after the weights.

I bloody know about it today!

:-) Well done! That's a great session. [wondering if less waiting meant more soreness?]

I wondered that too, but honestly if that’s the trade-off I think it’s worth it.

Bravo Nellers. I did the Swiss ball workout from Running Rewired yesterday, first time doing some of those exercises but they seemed effective.

Does anyone else use a weighted hula hoop? I find mine much more fun than planks or sit ups but the fact that it’s fun might mean it isn’t doing much! If I get some music on I can hoop for ages.

The nights get dark too quick just now but am wanting a chance to take a sledgehammer to the big old tree stump in the corner of the garden.
