OO62. ah, the joys of living at the seaside. Enjoy your race break assuming it lasts. Hope your 12m went well.
TR.. as above a sea breeze is sometimes a blessing rather than a pest. Nice effort with that 18m.
LMH.. good to get new shoes bedded in, well done with your 16m today.
DT19.. that all sounds quite confusing, shame they can't explain the rules clearly.
Riggys.. that's a decent session in the warm conditions. Difficult to find a cool spot unless you're running in the hours of darkness!
I seem to have got into a routine of approx run one day bike the next. 8m run yesterday (no Parkrun) and 46m on the bike today. Quite warm and muggy here though ideal for today's town gala.
My MIL had her minor hip operation yesterday. Went to visit her, she was understandably feeling a bit bruised and battered as a 91 yr old but relieved it's over.

Great runs TR and LMH. Hope you can both keep it going.
Impressive bike ride wardi. It was cool at the coast this morning due to a sea mist. I ran 14 but felt very uncomfortable with a niggly knee and hip. 52 for the week. Hope you get the qualification DT,bit certainly seems achievable.

Mlr, where do you see the line between mlr and long run? 16m seems more long run territory to me.
Tr, yes ideally you'd hit the qualifying time in the qualifying race. Previously it was all rather loose if you didn't in that if you did last year or did before the representative race that's OK. Now it's 3 months prior. Not many folk will have run a marathon 3 months prior.
Hopefully the tabs will have settled things for you when you stop them.
Nice work on the 14, oo. Cool and misty sounds incredible right now.
Wardi, hope the MIL recovers well. Decent bike work.
I got out at 1.30. There was some intermittent cloud cover but not as much as I was hoping for. We'd gone out for food and drinks with friends last night so whilst I was by no means hungover a session of any sort in the sun post beers wasn't going to be huge fun.
3m wu then 1.5k at 10kp (5.46mm) then 2 x 1k at 5kp (3.25 and 3.28) then 1.5k at 10kp (5.46mm) followed by just over 1m cd.
Pleased with that in the heat. Definitely feeling this short distance focus is bringing some results. That's 54m for the week. Next week will be down as racing Wednesday then recovering into a taper for the 5k the following week.

Morning
Hope the MIL recovers well Wardi. Sounds like you have got a good routine with run/bike alternate days
Hope the niggles are just that OO62 think the heatwave will have past by the time I get to the van again.
Good session DT
Nice 10 TR hope things have settled stomach wise and will stay so after you stop the medication
Another 16 LMH is good going
9 miles after work Sunday morning. Some in woods so a bit of shade.

Glad MiL's op went well Wardi.
Watch the niggles OO62. I count a LSR as 18 miles+ when marathon training.
Good session and solid week DT19.
When are you at the docs TR?
Are you finding running after work ok riggys?
Rest day today as at work. Not sure about tomorrow - we're forecast heavy rain, winds gusting 34mph and temperatures about 10C lower than I've got used to!

OO62 - Good 14 & 50+ miles week. That spell of racing has added some stresses for those niggles.
TR - Pleased to see you run an unexpected 18m. Must have been warm out.
DT - Slightly annoying about that HM qualification. Thats a speedy session, especially as had a few beers the night before.
LMH - Excellent 16m, all coming together.
Riggsy - Good post-work run. Wardi - Quite a satisfying exercise pattern, especially with the lengthy cycle rides. I am fluid on what's a LR generally anything over 16m.
A few days of doubles and sea swims thanks to the weather to give 73 weekly miles. Put off the LR until today as far too hot over the weekend. A bit cloudy and far cooler today, so when stop prevaricating off out shortly. strava marathon predictor in the tantalising 2.49.58-2.50.04 range.

The distinction depends on a few things such as pace & weekly mileage but anything over 2hrs is a LR IMO whereas anything in the 90-120' range would definitely be an MLR.

Hope it went well Ouchie.
I'm now working tomorrow so my knees will get two rest days in a row and I'll hopefully avoid the worst of the weather. Silver linings.

Wardi - yes a bit of sea breeze can be cooling.
Good to be feeling benefits DT. Hitting the qual time in the quall race sounds important for a marathon.
LMH- is there bad weather due then? I thought more hot stuff was coming.
Ouchie - did you go long ? You have a few weeks before Dorney?
Morning weights/bike commute and evening 7m easy home, quite a bit cooler, but was pretty breezy so that probably helps it feel cooler.

LMH/ TR - Went well thanks. 20m at 7.14 min average. Ran it P&D style, 0-10m 7.30 mm average, 11-15. 7.05 mm average 16-20m 6.58 mm average. Debut run for the AF2, liked them, responsive, comfortable. Also took a gel, don't normally. Hopefully time for one more LR. LMH - That is a silver lining. TR - Felt and was much cooler here too. Stormy tomorrow so a swim and gym session booked.
