Thanks for that tip, Fenners. I might be trying a bit too hard with those sessions. I haven’t done a parkrun for a very long time! I’m hoping to get to one as soon as possible.

I’m now at the half way stage on my Project Joker attempt. Wondering where I shall do my parkrun attempt in five weeks time. Think it’ll have to be a fake parkrun because the real ones won’t have restarted by then.

Well done Ness, I've got just one week left plus my longer run this Sunday. Unfortunately my Garmin doesn't seem to want to release my training this week and I'm unable to sync it at all. I may have to give up and manually log it from the watch info 😒

That must be a bit irritating. Hope you can sort it out.
I surprised myself with my intervals session today after having my first full week in school for a while. Had to have a little nap after breakfast though! Must be an age thing!

Lol Ness. I worked last night which I don't normally do. I had to be up early Wednesday morning (6 hours sleep) and Thursday was a very late finish (only 5 1/2 hours sleep) and I slept until 9.30 this morning and cba to go out for my recovery run. I'm sure you're right about age though, I still feel knackered.

My last tempo session of this plan done this morning. Next one will be my test 5k.

Just starting in on the plan.
I did a test 5k on Saturday - went off far too fast and had a little bit of a rest in the middle, but still managed my best time for a couple of years. Which means that in 10 weeks time I should be amazing, right?
Tempo session yesterday, warmup then 5k at pace then warm down. All good, though pace (which felt pretty comfortable) was faster than the plan recommended.

Well done Drell, you will be even more amazing
It's difficult to get the pacing right if it's not something you do regularly. I have adjusted my tempo run by initially 3 seconds and for the last 4 weeks another 10 seconds off. I hope this means I can go faster on my 5k test. Perhaps I shall paint go faster stripes on my face to see if that helps 🤣🤣

Go faster stripes always help. I don't think it matters where they are

I'm on week 8 but I've been so inconsistent, I can't really say that I've followed the plan. I did do a modified interval session this morning that I'm pleased with myself for doing. I know I'll benefit from pushing myself a bit harder and not just doing easy runs, and I actually quite like running at a faster pace.
