Well done Scribbler, perhaps if you have time to redo PJ after this 10 weeks are done you may be able to follow it more closely.
My last interval session yesterday Just the long run to do on Sunday now.

Good luck Fenland Flier
I think I'll have plenty of time to do Project Joker again, although I'm waiting to hear what the plans are for a virtual GNR in 10 weeks' time. And asking myself if I could be disciplined enough to train for a half marathon that's not a mass event race.

Good luck, FF. Also Scribbler. I’ve done some virtual races during lockdown and they are tougher than the real thing!
I struggled with my threshold session this week but have taken a complete rest today. I’m hoping this will help my attempt at intervals tomorrow.

I'm not relishing a 'race' on my own but it's 'just' a tempo run.
I hope the rest day helps out Ness and I'm sure you'll smash the intervals tomorrow.

Feeling like I'm really slow and inconsistent with my running since having the little one last year so I've joined project Joker today in the hope to improve 🤞😊 Will get my first long run in for it at some point over this weekend before I'm back to work on Monday

I'm on week 8, but I think i'm going to pull out of this round of PJ as I've not really been very consistent in doing my speedwork and this week looks like I'll be playing jokers again.

I'm the same as you Gemma, I am planning on starting PJ this weekend. I am certainly not as fast as I was pre baby, I hoped it would be easier. Hills are so hard at the moment too, I just can't do them. I did run my 5k on my local parkrun route which not easy, off-road with a couple of hills, hoping in 10 weeks I can nip round a bit quicker.

Oops I forgot to post my result, 21.28 from the 22.00 I entered. In all honesty it shouldn't have been 22 but I was optimistic. Pleased with the result because it was windy and if I was racing normally I'd have had my inhaller before the race (enhancing drug for asthma).
Right then, wishing GemmaLouise and Lesley C good luck for PJ and suggesting to Scribbler to see it out to see how things stand, you may be surprised or it may encourage you to try harder

Glad to know I'm not the only one, Lesley. I thought I would get back into it easier than this as I was really missing it when I was unable to run from about half way through pregnancy. Hoping this will give me something to aim for with being unable to use races as motivation in the current climate. Would really like to get faster as it feels so slow compared to before

Well done, FF! 👍
Good luck, GemmaLouise and Lesley C.
I’ve just finished week 7 of my Project Joker attempt. Quite a good interval training session this morning considering yesterday was the last day of the school term. All being well I’ll be on Ibiza and the end of week 10 and have planned out a nice 5k route on the resort’s seafront promenade (also have a nice uk route planned in case the holiday plans go 🍐 shaped! ).
