By my calculations she is about 50 miles in today so that's looking like a repeat of the last two days 10pm finish. She seems to have found a consistent pace since Day 3 and as long as she can hold that she should be fine. Seven hours stopped every night gives her good chance of a reasonable amount of sleep (at least as far as these things go) and recovery.

She's stopped a few miles short of her planned stopping place tonight, and gone back to Kendal

A night in a hotel. Castle Green Hotel I've stayed there before (also a venue for the FRA Dinner in past years IIRC).

A night in a hotel and a short lie in seems to have provided a boost, Carla's speed this morning is more like 5mph than the 4mph of the last few days.

Her speed seems to have dropped as the morning has gone on. Roughly 35 miles covered in 8.5 hours so back on the average pace of the of the last 3 days but tonight that will mean an 11pm finish due to the later start. She currently seems to be having a stop, 20 mins so far.

I think she still started at approx 5am today, remember she didn't reach her planned stopping point last night, so had about 4 miles to do to reach it.
The first clickable dot for today is at 5:07am and the split for "Finish Day 6" was at 6:14am today.

Gus, I wonder whether there was a hitch with stopping the clock yesterday? My read of that was that she started after 6am today, maybe at 6.14am ...
It is possible that the hotel night that ff identified was a planned "half way" treat with an extra hour in bed as opposed to an emergency rest.

I think she just gave up at about 10pm, before the planned end of day - I was watching the tracker and it suddenly started heading back to Kendal at pace. Then the first clickable dot past that point was at 5:07am this morning

I think Gus is spot on looking at the tracker. She appears to have restarted at just after 5am from where she stopped last night (about 4 miles short of the marked point) and done about an hour to the start of Day 6. But that doesn't alter any of my maths because all my measurements/timings have been from the marked start of Day 6. All that it means is that she is facing an 18 hour day rather than a 17 hour one to get to the marked end point for Day 7 and it is still likely to mean an 11pm or later finish unless she picks up the pace again. Her recent stop seems to have been for about 40-45 mins. The longest midday stop so far?
