Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Anyway, I've had an unfortunate incident with a door a few weeks back and now logging off. All this talk of running is only depressing me :(

I just asked a Physics PhD down the corridor and have confused myself. lol. Gravity is a force and a field. In terms of what we experience on earth "Gravitational Force" is basically interchangeable with "weight".

I have deliberately not read the POSE book I've just gone with input from Bee. If it works but the science and terminology are dodgy...meh... as long as it works in real life.

I just wanted to jump in because in terms of what we have been taught this term (as trainee teachers) it is best not to think of gravity as Force but of Weight as the Force due to Gravity... see what I mean?

I'm bored now. *wanders off*

Oh and while we are at it Pressure is not a force and neither are Moments.

Normal contact force - equal and opposite to weight.

I have no idea what I'm actually talking about.

Running? What's that then?

I should say "when an object is at rest" somewhere in the above post.

*falls over*
