Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have frozen some Christmas Stilton, even with our consumption rate, it wasn't going down. Hypothetically for Easter, but might not last that long.

Got a Davidstow Special Reserve 50 month Cheddar left from Christmas too. Haven't had the chance to open it, let it breathe and enjoy it.

Maybe this weekend?

OH has just ordered more cheese from Neals Yard. I suspect he's compensating for his embrace of a low-carb lifestyle.

So I should be able to add some more before too long.

We often buy too much blue cheese and end up freezing it Lammers.

Wrapped well in greaseproof, then foil, then plastic bagged. Keeps ok.

Our (my) Christmas cheese purchasing got a bit out of hand when I started hunting for Cornish Brie. Went everywhere in the week before the hols, without success, but ended up buying something everywhere I went. :-0

Back for 2023!! You know what to do :)

Inspired by the Christmas Cheese thread and the 50 Fruit and Veg in 2022 thread, how many different types of cheese can you eat in 2022?

I've had a rummage in the fridge and so far I have consumed -

(Valley Spire) Medium Cheddar
(Tesco) Red Leicester
(Tesco) Shropshire Blue
(Shepherds Purse) Harrogate Blue
(Tesco) Neufchatel
(Aldi) Spicy Cheddar
(Aldi) Wensleydale with cranberries
(Milbona) Cream cheese

I make that 8 varieties so far!

I have some more in the fridge to go...
