Lol Cas same around here. Gonna have to consult AA maps to see if the bloody things are on there before going anywhere a weekend to pick a route without them.

Randomly spawning traffic lights could be good. Although I suspect I may end up sitting at my desk refreshing my map to find a new light on the VLM route (and then racing NDWDave to see who can grab it first!)
How long will an unowned traffic light survive? Is it 30 days from original spawning, or 30 days from last ownership?

It's potentially quicker than that. Any unowned TL that is more than 7 days old will disappear overnight. That rule was in place anyway, I've just removed the one that says "older than 30 days whether owned or not".

The daily clearout of dead markers happens at 1am each day, and the exact logic is:
DELETE rentmarker WHERE datecreated<=(today - 7 days) AND owned=false
So this morning's clear-out would have fried any markers created on May 20th.

I don't like to be negative, just putting my angle as a slow runner who can't run mega miles like some on here.
My circle has big blocks I have to run around and limited places to go outside so if these little pockets are full of lights owned by others I'm well and truly stuffed. I need to get out on my bike sometimes to have a bit of a clear up. 
If it ain't broke then don't fix it.

I don't think the new TL will make me want to carry on playing.
There's a couple of fetches registered that don't seem to really play.
One regularly runs an early morning route round a lot of roads I have to use. A few weeks ago some TL popped up overnight and he owned them before I could get to them.
Its restricted routes options and I've been looking forward to them going.
I don't think they will as he runs often enough to maintain ownership.
Kind of takes the fun out of the game as they're up to mega penalty points now.
Sorry to be negative but I much preferred the 28 day vanishing as I have limited options for clearing bugs as it is.
