Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’m in favour of any changes that give an advantage to lone rural runners as opposed to those with neighbours or cyclists 😂

I’d participate in the Zoom meeting as long as it’s at a time that’s convenient.

In 84th despite a sub 300 outing this morning. Still bug free for 10 days though so hoping I can keep the above 333 average to peak above 10K in 20 days time.

I'm not enthusiastic about the idea of a Zoom meeting for Fetchpoint, Fetch. Sorry.
I have plenty already. My work has them, my running club (Cantab Hash House Harriers) has them, and my church has them.

In terms of having a recording of the meeting, I'd rather have an executive summary (aka minutes of the meeting). Video files are huge and need more space on those servers in the Mojave Desert than a text file.
Hopefully, we can discuss well enough, here.
I'm in a similar position to Vancouver Jogger, although I do cycle. It would be good to rebalance for more isolated Fetchies, especially since the Higgs Boson seems to favour dense areas. Perhaps there could be dragons and dragon's hoards in more remote places: 'Here be dragons.' It would be consistent with the Ring.
N.B. if you mean the one from the Lord of the Rings, then in the book, it is called 'the One Ring', rather than the One True Ring. Perhaps that term borrows a little from the One True King, a title of King Arthur. The One Ring is anything but true, arguably.
In Fetchpoint, we could have the resting place of the One True King, which relocates at intervals. The Round Table too. After all, different places lay claim to be being the location of Camelot. The Sword in the Stone, perhaps.
Perhaps one shouldn't mix the back stories, though.

Slowly working my way towards some of the badges for this one. Will hopefully get the 10 bug free days shortly and then the 5000 point one too Not sure how much higher i can go previosuly peaked in the 8000's with biking out into the hills for flowers. I could bike to the nearest town which is chock full of everything i guess for some easy gains and when more back into running run there too.

New things to go after would be nice although it works well enough now too. An abilkity to check which areas you marked off limits to allow access to once more would be nice as i've marked off some due to size of path and the sheer hordes of people out and about compared to normal.... Far to narrow and long to get past easily

I like the 'see the areas you marked out of bounds'. I’d like to check I’ve got them all on the golf course/ fields/ motorway.

I’d also like to have the ability to see the value of a flower without clicking on it. Maybe you could have it toggle on and off in the map view like you can toggle other items. This would make planning routes for the highest return much easier.

Hi kstuart, the way to to bring areas back into the limits is to go through them. It wipes the off-limits record.
Being able to see off-limits areas would be interesting, but by definition objects won't appear in them, so the practical usefulness would be limited.

I may have been thinking of the Once and Future King, rather than the One True King. The 'One True King' does have a, err, ring to it, doesn't it.
