I did the maths and it worked out as twice each way and back towards the Forth Bridge again. In reality I suspect it'll work out as about the equivalent of back to the start and a bit heading south again , my mileage will drop after I complete the first time, but aiming for 200 miles every month would see me maybe get to Coldstream by the end of October.

Thanks for that, I'd seen the statue a few times as I've gone into the harbour but never knew the story behind it.
