Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

This evening I went for a run in a place I've never run before - Settle - and I'm now eating the vegan truffles Fellmouse gave me for my birthday. Newt to me parking in the morning :)

I did a trail race this morning which (I think) included a few newt trails for me (although as I have done two trail races from the same venue in the past I can't be 100% sure but none of it looked particularly familiar)

'You have typed 40 words a second for over ten seconds.' It's a badge apparently.

I am now on to capitals. That's new. As per I want to use my left little finger every time but am forcing myself to use my right one too - much harder for me.

It is so like learning the piano! Not the guitar ...I gave up trying to learn right handed and play left handed. Like Hendrix. Only not quite so good.

I have made buckwheat crepes for the first time. I'm having some for lunch today and the rest for dinner - stuffed with tuna and veg in a yoghurt sauce. They're quite tasty but they weren't that easy to make as they kept sticking. I was probably using the wrong frying pan.

I've also put radishes in my salad for the first time in ages, they're nicer than I remember.

I always use Buckwheat flour in my dropscones/pancakes. Had some this morning. They 'can' stick a bit but I use a non stick frying pan, get it hot and make them quite small. I don't use any fat besides what's in the eggs/ milk/ricotta.

I think consistency of the batter is all!

The batter seemed a bit thick so I might add a bit more water next time as they came out a bit thick. The recipe suggested they should roll up like wraps but they're way too chunky for that!

Do you just use water in your mix or other stuff, Sharkie?
